3. lolokisen (maligcong sweet orange) MALIGCONG , an upland village of Bontoc, is not just famous for its scenic rice terraces. It is also a showcase of an integrated farm of citrus. They grow multiple variety of sweet oranges. Tourists can visit the orchards and when the oranges are ripe, it would be exciting to pick and eat fresh oranges for free, however you pay for the oranges that you bring home. 4. linapet (besao rice cake) In Gueday, Besao, Mountain Province, the agricultural calendar of each year commence when a ray of the sun at sunrise transcends from a rock on top of a mountain and directly strikes at the tip of a pyramidal stone by the village ato. When this happens, the chieftain sits by the stone and declare “KASILAPET”. This marks the start of the new season which is celebrated to thank the bounty of the preceding season and to pray for another productive year.
