News LetterMs. Morson’sclass Summary:  For the next few week our class will be working of a project to go along with our unit, MATH IN THE REAL WORLD. The project will require students to explore how they can use math to run a store. I think that this unit will teach the students some valuable math skills, and the project will reinforce the concepts as well as motivate the students to learn about math along with how to work in a group. I hope that you will be supportive of this valuable learning experience for the students.  Please read the project details on the next page.   Project based learning is a way to teach that is centered on projects. It has been proven to be very effective. I hope to do many other projects throughout the year. Write number sentences for word problems that involve multiplication or division. 4.16.) Determine if outcomes of simple events are likely, unlikely, certain, equally likely, or impossible Objectives The student will be able to:  -create an inventory process for a store by using multiplication and division in sentence forms  -demonstrate how multiplication and division can be efficient in real life situations specifically retail  -use digital media to apply data and make charts  -use gathered information to make rational predictions on future sales of the store
