1. How to use a SCBA
(Self Contained Breathing Apparatus)

2. • SCBA is a lot like a scuba diving apparatus but
it cant be used under water

3. Step 1: put on the
SCBA on your
shoulders like a
backpack.

4. Step 2: tighten all
straps

5. Step 3: turn the nob
away from you until
you here a bell. This
will turn on your SCBA

6. Step 4: put on the
mask and tighten all
the strap so air won’
leak out your mask.

7. Step 5: attach your
line to your mask
and take a breath. If
you can breath
then that means
that you haven’t
turn the oxygen on.

8. My Expierance
In Tolles Technical Insitute I have had a lot of
expierance with SCBAs. SCBA is one of the most
important equipment in fire fighting. At tolles I
train everyday at school on checking and putting
on equipment. These pictures are the steps on
putting on a scba.
