The author took a long trip to Florida that involved driving through 7 states over 15 hours. When they arrived in Florida, they went to the beach and swam in the ocean. They spent a few days in St. Augustine visiting museums, and went on a horse-drawn carriage ride to learn about the town. Their last day was rainy at first but they went mini golfing before heading home.

3. It took a long time
to get ready
because of all
the time we took
to pack.

4. It took 15 hours to get
there because of all of
the stops that we
made.

5. On the way there we
drove through 7
states: Pennsylvania,
West Virginia,
Virginia,
North Carolina, South
Carolina, Georgia, and
Florida.

6. When we got there it
was 3:45. The first
thing we did was go
to the beach and go
swimming.

7. We saw a lot of sailboats
in the water. When we
got closer to Daytona
we saw a lot more
than we did other
places.

8. After a while in Daytona
Beach, we went to St.
Augustine and spent 3
days there. The best part
in St. Augustine was the
Wax Museum and Ripleys
Museum.

9. And then the next night
we went on a horse
and buggy ride and
learned all about the
town .

10. The last day, it rained. It was
the worst day. Then it stopped
raining, so we went putt-putt
golfing. We started home at
4:45. I did not went to go
home, but we had to. So we
said good-bye and started
home.
