2. Our school is located in a small town
named Posada de Llanera in the heart
of Asturias in the North of Spain.
3. Llanera has got more than 13.000 inhabitants. Economical resources
are Industry and Service. There are a lot of business because of the
industrial estates surrounding the town. The population is semi-urban
as it is near Oviedo, the capital city of Asturias.
Most people have basic studies, only about 10% have university
degrees.
4. The role our High School plays is essential
to give young people appropriate levels of
training and education to enable them to
fully develop their skills and to join without
problems in the social and professional life ..

6. The educations that nowadays our High
School offers are the following ones:
• Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) from 11 to 16.
• High School (Bachillerato) from 16 to18 with two
specialties: Science and Technology and Social
Sciences.
• Vocational Training: Trade and Marketing
• Senior Transport Management (also distance learning)
