Baduria Ashar Alo
A brief introduction:
BAA is the acronym for “Baduria Ashar Alo”. “Baduria Ashar Alo” was registered under the
Registration of Societies Act of 1961, registration no S/1L/55778 and formed on 20th
August,
2008 with the primary objective to work for empowerment of the poor, especially the women,
schedule caste/ tribes and other marginalized section of the rural parts of West Bengal. The
society recognizes the skill, knowledge and experience of this section of the society and strives
towards channelizing their talents into right direction which would satisfy them mentally and
benefit them financially.
In the last three years BAA has organized eye camps, awareness camps and distributed blankets
among the poor to help them with our limited resources. Members of BAA have also been
involved in educating the poor to be self-reliant through various awareness programs. Now BAA
have planned to concentrate its efforts in the field of health care and education for the rural poor.
The working committee comprises of 10 active members as given under Schedule B.
The working committee consists of fresher’s and experienced members dedicated to the service
of poor masses.. The core members have the necessary skill and requisite expertise in guiding the
rural section of the society in utilizing their skills to shape their own future in the right way.
BAA has more than 30 field executive to conduct the market research and survey part for the
organization.
Baduria Ashar Alo has all valid documents as laid down by the Government for its smooth
running of the society. The details are given as under:-
The society is registered under registration no S/1L/55778 of 2008-09 the West Bengal
ACT XVI of 1961.
Permanent Account No (PAN NO) for the society is AAAABB9282E dated 4th
Nov,
2008.
Registration has been completed under 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Society has received certificate for excemption under u/s 80G(5)(VI) of the I.T. Act,
1961.
Annual and Audit Report for the last three financial years (2009-10), (2010-11), (2011-
12).
Our Vision:
BAA has a broad vision of operating Charitable Hospitals and Education units up to the
advanced levels at various parts of West Bengal so in order to cover as much as we can the
financial weaker section of the society.
BAA would be running project by project and would continuously strive for improving the
services for the needy and will work as a team and would continuously strive for rural upliftment
in terms of their financial and mental health with prime focus on self independence.
Our Mission:
1. Organizing medical health camps in different rural parts of West Bengal.
2. Establishing charitable hospitals for regular medical aid for the poor.
3. BAA’s core team would work together in making every project a success of helping the
weaker section of the society with necessary medical aid with care and empathy.
4. Identify and engage only such general staff who are ready to serve the people with a kind
heart and from within their heart.
5. Establishing schools for primary education for imparting knowledge to the poor rural
children.
Goals & Objective:
BAA’s goal is to help the individuals who cannot afford to take medical facility from the
hospital due to their financial constraints. We Providing them and their families with medical
treatment free of cost. We at Baduria Ashar Alo aim towards making it happen and that too with
consistency.
It is a fact that children’s are our future for our country. However major section of our society is
below the poverty line and thereby higher percentage of children’s are in the rural poor section of
the society who rather than taking primary education due to non affordability factor are forced to
child labor.

Baduria Ashar Alo objective is to focus on the children’s of this section of the society in
imparting primary education by establishing primarily English medium school to make the future
bright for the next generations to come.
Baduria Ashar Alo is established to promote, develop, protect aid foster and empower, directly
and indirectly, particularly in rural West Bengal, to achieve the following objective inter-alia and
also to develop better co-ordination, collaboration, joint participation, relations and
understanding amongst various constituents of the all sector for promoting welfare of the society
masses by making every effort in minimizing thirst hunger, illiteracy, diseases, poverty and by
providing shelter and employment.
Past Activities Conducted:
1. Eye Camp: In the year 2011 an Eye Camp was being organized in Madhyamgram. There
were three local eye specialists who conducted the eye testing for approx. 100 rural people of
which 69 who were tested positive were given spectacle free of cost.

2. Distribution Camp: Baduria Ashar Alo organized its first distribution camp on 23rd
January, 2011. Around 60 pieces of blanket were distributed to the destitute and aged and
50 school students were given text books for their better education.

3. HIV/AIDS Awareness Camp: BAA organized one day awareness cum training program
on HIV/AIDS at Baduria. Around 200 local men and women attended the program. The
program was inaugurated by the Chairman of Municipal Corporation and other eminent
personalities were also present to support the event. Youth attended the program in large
numbers which served the purpose extensively.
4. Environment Awareness Camp: BAA arranged a non formal however essential short
educational program for all classes of people especially for drivers, housewife’s, fast food
shopkeepers to be aware about the present environmental conditions and to take proper
pollution control measures to make it a better and conducive earth to live. Campaigning
was done on “SAVE ENVIRONMENT” and “SAVE THE EARTH”.
Proposed Activities to be conducted:
1. Market research on various aspects primarily focusing on the village population. Such
research work would further enable us to understand what specific need is there in the
rural areas thereby gving us an insight in working further towards fulfilling those needs in
a long run.
2. BAA would like to start with a school in north 24 Paragnas. This will cater the primary
education to the pre nursery students in the village of Madhyamgram and adjoining
villages. Later on we would move forward towards establishing a school for students till
higher secondary and senior secondary education to the rural children’s at very low and
affordable cost. Page 7

3. Generating employment and creating financial independence amongst the rural men by
arranging training facilities on mason work etc.
4. Conducting Health camps in understanding the basic health related needs of the rural
poor and donating medicines free of cost. In a long run we have a vision in creating a
hospital with all modern facilities in the rural region for the rural section to give end to
end medical aid right from general check up facilities to surgeries etc.
