6. Mental And Physical Preparation Before
Your Presentation
• Don’t make yourself crazy, just make sure you
know and feel comfortable with your material
and practice a few times.
• If you have never spoken before, a meeting
with a speech coach can really help.
7. • Have Good Substance to present
• Aim for shorter rather than a longer speech
• Edit out least important aspects to remain concise
yet focused
• Rehearse your presentation until it feels natural
• Insert breaks if you feel presentation is too long
8. Practice in front of
mirror can make you
see and feel your
audience and
improve your delivery
9. Slow down when you're talking but not to
the point of boring your audience to sleep.
10. Preparing your Support Materials
• Keep Text to a minimum
• Make sure if you have text on the screen,
people can read it.
• Use simple pictures to get across your idea.
• Have simple to follow notes (as a reminder)
11. Giving the Presentation
• Think Positive
• Tell relevant stories to engage your audience
• Don’t read your slides. They should support what
you are saying
• Keep your intro short and strong
• Keep the presentation slow and steady
