18. Machine refilling in Standard Atmosphere This cartridge has been filled with water to easily see the trapped air bubble when filling in Standard Atmosphere. Ink (water) is not in the ink reservoir when filling in standard atmosphere, which then requires vacuum priming

If this cartridge was filled at an elevation of sea level and is now used at an elevation 6,000 feet, the size of the bubble would increase 24% in size, making it unlikely to work properly or have a shortened life cycle. Thus, you should induce a 97% internal vacuum level and fill at the approximate atmospheric pressure you will use the cartridge at.
