Favorite Photos & Experimentation
With Camera Angles.
The Right Angle
I loved the idea of Charlotte holding
the teddy by her stomach. As this is
the teddy Ella will have in her cot it
relates the reflection scene and the
baby scene. The teddy is positioned
by Charlottes stomach as that’s
where a baby grows and as the films
about infertility I feel that this makes
it kind of ironic.
I tried several angles to get this shot
to work great and to perfect the
message I wanted to portray.
Close Up
Long Shot
Long Shot (left side) Close Up (Left)
Close Up (Right)
If I was to chose a photo out of these I
would chose the “Close Up Left” as I
feel a close up shot draws the attention
to the stomach and is more focused on
the issue. I also feel this is more
powerful and doesn’t have to rely on a
facial expression. There Is also plenty of
room to add a title and turn it into a
poster.
Positioning Of The Prop
By Her Side
This reminded me of how a
child would hold a teddy.
Therefore making the relation
to not having a child.
Clutching/Cuddling
A mother would have a
child sat clutched on
there lap.
Bunny Abandoned In Playground
I like this idea as it symbolizes a scene from
the short film where Charlotte breaks down
when she's walking through the park. This
would look good on a poster as there
is plenty of space to add text.
Bunny Abandoned In Park
This idea is identical to the last
however I played around with the
location.
Looking Over Playground
These photos are also similar to a
scene in parts of the short film. If I
were to use an image out of the two
I would use the first one as the focus
Is on the playground which make
Charlotte look small which is what
she is feeling inside.
The background however is quite
busy so text would have to be
kept to a minimum or it would
look overcrowded.
This shot looks over the shoulder of Charlotte and focuses entirely on the bunny rabbit
which ties all of my production package together. Using this picture would also tie it in
with my short film as this is one of the shots I have used.
One of my favorite shots from the shoot. This photo also focuses on the bunny rabbit.
However unlike the last shot this extreme close up focuses more on Charlottes hands and
how she is clutching onto the toy. This would make a good poster and gives me a lot of
background to play with.
When deciding what photo to
use on my poster I shall
experiment with a few to see
what looks best.
