1. The point of a selling line gives a brief insight as to what the films about. The language is concise and colloquial, and has a comical element. However it doesn’t contain any ‘slang’ that would suggest a target audience, none the less from the main image I can infer it’s for young teenage based viewers. The inclusion of a critic creates authenticity and feeds a positive response for the audience to see. This critic in particular also cleverly hints at the plot/ storyline. It has been rated certificate 12A suggesting adult humour. BFI 12A (2002-present)-Introduced for cinema films, this replaced the theatrical 12 certificate and permitted children under twelve to see the films provided they were accompanied by a responsible adult. The poster is consistent throughout, the house colours and fonts are fluent throughout. Making it look all the more professional. The main image introduces us to the characters, as well as the story line. On the left the woman adopts a stereotypically male positioning and she has her foot resting on a rugby ball. Similarly the boy on the right has his legs crossed like a woman and is reading a book. The image combined with the selling line and critic suggests a swap in character. To add to the authenticity of the poster there is a billing box listing the directors and those that contributed to the production of the fim
2. The selling line indicates the confusion within the story and informs the audience of the main characters. The language is informal and when reading to me suggests the target audience is 15+. The language use is that the audience would probably use themselves. The font types used are quite playful, and there fluent throughout the image. There are two main colours black and red, hinting at romantic elements. The consistency makes the image look all the more proffessional. The main image presents all the main characters, with Amanda Bynes at the front, we can see some sort of hierarchy. With the fellow cast members behind, we can see there is an evident connection between them all. There costumes and props suggest they are in there late teens and combined with the information from the selling line we can see a relationship will form between two or more characters. To contribute to its authenticity there is a billing box and the main actors/actresses are addressed.
