We typically directly link class with wealth as above image shows, as the media constantly reminds us. Wealthy people – not council estates. Class is based primarily on wealth of person if we are aware of their financial background. If not, we must make assumptions. Wealthy person, walks in wearing tracksuits cap, does this make them lower class?
