2. Genco Berk is an Austrian designer, who rather consider himself as a “World Citizen”. Born in Istanbul, he spends his childhood in Germany. Exposed to the world of art and being raised by two artists gave him a clear understanding and a thorough developed feeling to discriminate trends, allowing him to strive for unique design solutions. He is a second-generation architect, interior designer and furniture designer with more than 30 years of experience in “High-End” residential and commercial interiors. Genco Berk flt that humidors designs are antiquated and it was about time to change this. While creating the DeLight Humidor, he was inspired by ancient Chinese coins. 3. This theme can be seen on the top of the lid, as well as the actual cigar storage compartment. Both are representing earth and heaven. The finish of the lid, which is in black glossary lacquer and bronze mirror, is a homage to Chinese lacquering. The corpus is executed in Zebrano veneer with clear glossy lacquer coating. The humidor is a limited edition and there will be 300 available as shown. It comes with a square shaped stainless steel plate at the bottom of the humidor. The plate bears a serial number and name of the owner. It can store 60-80 cigars. Humidors will be delivered without humidifier or hygrometers. The humidor has a diameter of 37cm and height of 22cm. The inside lining is made with solid Spanish cedar in order to control th e humidity and providing an environment for the maturing process of cigars. Our Collection

4. The initial idea is come up with a rather unconventional design for a desktop humidor, derives from my trip to china. While I was developing the design concept for my humidor, I was influenced by ancient Chinese coins. The ancient coins are round with a square hole in the middle of the coin. The circular shape of the coin represents heaven and the square represents the earth. The coin represents the unity between heaven and earth. Describing as being “square within and round without”.
