ownsomesortofpersonalmediadevice.ThismaybeanMP3
player,mobilephone,tabletetc.Itisatechnologythatyoung
people know and enjoy.Theyuse them forentertainment,to
communicate,tocreateandshare.However,onthewholethese
devicesarebannedinschools.Theaimofmlearnistousemobiledevicesarebannedinschools.Theaimofmlearnistousemobile
technologiestoaidteachingandlearning,embracingratherthan
discouraginghandheldtechnology.Teachersarecrucialchange
makersand,iftrainedtousemobiletechnologyconfidentlyand
effectivelyintheclassroom,cantransform learningandteaching
ineverysubjectarea. Withinourpartnership,wewillsetup
trainingonmlearningwithininitialteachertrainingandintraining
for existing teachers.We willchallenge teachers to thinkfor existing teachers.We willchallenge teachers to think
creativelyaboutmobilelearninganddeveloptheirconfidenceto
trynewideaswithinthewholeschoolcurriculum.
