SL is a language designed to support students in learning informatics concepts. It includes basic data types like integers, reals, Booleans, and strings, as well as records and arrays that can be one or multi-dimensional with fixed or adjustable sizes. The language constructs were selected to allow students to focus on algorithms without implementation details, and applets can be defined and ordered freely within source programs.
