3. THE UNCOUNSCIOUS
Freud called dreams the quot;royal road to the unconsciousquot;.
This meant that dreams showed the quot;logicquot; of the
unconscious mind.
4. THE INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS
The Interpretation of Dreams is a book by
Sigmund Freud (1899)

5. ID, EGO, AND SUPER-EGO
They are the three parts of the quot;psychic apparatusquot; defined
in Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche.
Id: The id acts find immediate enjoyment. It is
focused on instant self-gratification
Ego: Is how you actually behave. The ego
mediates among the id, the super-ego and the
external world.
Super-ego: Looks at the risks and opposes the Id. It
consists in ideal tensions and moral rules come from
belongings culture and internalized.
