  3. 3. Hurricane Safety<br />Be prepared for possible hurricanes<br />Take rubber boots, rubber gloves and goggles when you evacuate. These will protect you from possible contaminated flood waters when you return after a storm. <br />CDC hurricane tips widget at www.cdc.gov/widgets. <br />
  4. 4. National Preparedness Month<br />A great time to make sure you have an emergency supply kit for your home and personal vehicle.   5. 5. Back to School<br />Fairfax County firefighters distribute <br />backpacks and school supplies.<br />Over 1,000 backpacks were filled with school supplies.<br />Congratulations to Fairfax County’s firefighters and local businesses and residents for the successful project.<br />
