      • Who is using podcasts?
      • Podcast : (from “iPod” and “Broadcasting”) A method of publishing audio files to the Internet for playback on mobile devices and personal computers.

      • You can use equipment you probably already have.
      • It is a convenient, automatic and inexpensive way to reach your audience.
      • Your voice adds a personal connection.
      • Share your expertise with a broader audience.
      • You are in control of what, when and for how long you podcast.
      • Equipment
      • You will need:
        • Computer
        • Headphones
        • Microphone
        • Internet connection
      • Setting up your computer to record
      • Download and Install Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net
      • Install the lame.dll for .mp3 export http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3
      • Run Audacity and start recording
      • Finding a home for our media
      • Here are some free hosting services :

      • Uploading and linking to media
      • Using the hosting service you have selected, now we need to upload our audio file(s).
      • Once it looks like the audio is ready, test it out by listening to the file.
