Re-using legacy quiz materials • The Moodle quiz tools have been upgraded as part of the move to Moodle 2 • Quizzes from last year have been migrated to Moodle 2 and can be re-used • Previous quiz settings have been retained • Checklist for re-using quizzes: • Edit the start/finish times and dates • Adjust the Review & Feedback Options • Learn how to add & manage new questions • Learn about the new Quiz Behaviours

New and improved features • Improved quiz builder page • Clearer quiz organization and page breaks • Increased range of quiz behaviours • Different quiz settings for different groups • Easy duplication of quizzes for redeployment • Flagging tool for highlighting key questions • Clearer quiz submission options

  5. 5. Increased range of quiz behaviours • Adaptive mode • Allows students to have multiple attempts at a question . A question can adapt itself to a response by giving some hints before asking the student to try again • Immediate feedback • Provides feedback to students for each question , rather than at the end of the quiz. • Certainty-based marking (CBM) • In which students not only respond to a question, but also indicate how confident they are in their answer. The mark is adjusted by the level of certainty, so that students have to reflect honestly on their own level of knowledge in order to get the best mark.
