1. 2. How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
The two girls shown in my film opening were traditionally going to be from the 19th
century era. Our group decided on this because we thought that it would make the film a
lot scarier. However, due to the difficulties of finding costumes we decided that it might
be a better idea to set the story in modern day. This meant that our film could represent
social groups of today and an audience could relate to the characters more. The girls
were dressed in very casual clothing, which meant that stereotypically there social group
would not be so used to the idea of supernatural/crime.
