• Set up in 1963 by Ngee Ann Kongsi (50 years
old!)
• 16,000 full‐time students, 2,000 part‐time
students
• 1600 staff
• 48 full‐time courses
• 34.5 hectares (size of 32 x football fields!)

3. NP Co‐op
• Started in 1971 by group of students for bulk buying of school
supplies and stationery
• Grew into two retail outlets @5, @83 selling drinks, snacks,
stationeries and school supplies
• Also provides graduation gown rental services

4. Retail Cashier ‐ Job Tasks
 Greeting customers
“Good Morning”, “Good Afternoon”, “Hello”
 Collect cash and NETS payments from customers
 Issue receipts to customers
 Help customers find items they are looking for
“Do you sell ABC brand of exercise book?”
 Check and count stock of goods

 Stick price tag on goods
 Arrange goods on the shelves and display racks
 Clean display area or products on display
 Gift wrap products (when required)

Required
 Able to speak English and mother tongue
