10. Yadah (Yaw-daw')
• To extend the hands,
like shooting an arrow
or throwing a rock

11. towdah (to-daw')
• To show agreement with by
extending the right hand.It’s
like you are shaking hands
with God.
In God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? I am
under vows to you, O God; I
will present my thank offerings
to you. Ps 56:11,12
12. barak (baw-rak')
• To bow down as sign of
adoration and reverence.A
humbling of oneself as it’s one
of the most physically
“uncomfortable” expression to
have a person do.
So I will bless You as long as I
live; I will lift up my hands in
Your name.Ps 63:4
13. TEHILLAH (TEL-HIL-LAW‘)
• This type of praise is singing but
not just any type of singing.It’s
the singing that bubbles up from
our hearts.A spontaneous,
unrehearsed and unprepared
kind of song.
From you comes the theme of my
praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you I will
fulfill my vows.Ps 22:25
14. zamar (zaw-mar')
• To celebrate in song and
music. From clapping,to
singing and even playing
instrumental music.
Sing to God, sing in praise of his
name, extol him who rides on
the clouds; rejoice before
him--his name is the LORD.
Ps 68:4
15. shabach (shaw-bakh')
• To address in a loud tone. It’s
typically associated with
freedom or triumph.It’s more
than just a loud shout,it’s putting
everything you have into it. An
attitude of wholehearted praise.
One generation shall praise Your
works to another, And shall
declare Your mighty acts.Ps
145:4
16. halal (haw-lal')
• This might be one of the most “fun” forms of praise because it means to be
clamorously foolish. You boast and shine through dancing,twirling, laughing and
leaping before the Lord.
I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.Ps 22:22
17. proskuneo (pros-koo-neh’-o)
• To prostrate oneself in homage. But the deeper meaning is like a dog licking his
master’s hand.
"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24"God is
spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Jn 4:23.24
