      • Cheerful endurance
      • “ We can rejoice, too when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us – they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady,
      • (Romans 5:3-4 LB)
      • “ Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
      • (James 1:2-4 NIV)
    • PATIENCE IS IN GOD’S NATURE
      • Patience is a significant attribute of God’s being and a vital part of his nature.
      • God listens to all of our prayers.
      • “ We can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will” (1 John 5:14)
      • God’s patience = the power of God over himself.
      • The Bible emphasizes repeatedly that the Lord is slow to anger . (Ex 34:6, Nu 14:18, Ne 9:17, Psalm 86:15, Psalm 103:8, Ps 145:8, Joel 2:13, Jonah 4:2, Nahum 1:3)
      PATIENCE IS IN GOD’S NATURE
    • JESUS’S GREAT EXAMPLES OF PATIENCE
      • “ When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answers. “Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you? But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge – to the great amazement of the governor. Matthew 27:12-14 {also mentioned in Isaiah 53:7 and Acts 8:32)
      • Jesus demonstrated patience by preaching the parable of the Good Samaritan to the law expert in spite of his motives. (Luke 10:25-37)
    • HOW DO WE BECOME BETTER EXECUTORS OF PATIENCE?
      • We must depend on God’s strength.
      • View our trials and tribulations as opportunities for growth in the Lord.
      • Deepen your love.
    • WHAT IS KINDNESS?
      • Love in action.
      • Doing something for somebody without expecting anything in return.
    • LESSONS OF KINDNESS FROM THE GOOD SAMARITAN
      • See the needs of people around you.
      • Seize the moment.
    • HOW CAN WE BE KIND LIKE THE GOOD SAMARITAN?
      • You must be willing to be interrupted .
      • When he saw the man’s condition, his heart went out to him. (Luke 10:33 MSG)
      • You must be willing to take risks.
    • THE ULTIMATE ACT OF KINDNESS WAS JESUS CHRIST DYING FOR OUR SINS.
