ActivBoard: Tips for using the ActivPen
This section provides tips on using the ActivPen with your ActivBoard.
The ActivPen can do everything that a standard computer mouse can do.
Moving the cursor
• Place the pen nib lightly on the board (be careful not to push in the pen nib), then move the
ActivPen across the board. As you move, the cursor will follow the tip of the ActivPen.
Left‐click
• To left‐click, tap the pen nib firmly but quickly onto the ActivBoard.
Right‐click
• To right‐click, hover the pen nib close to the ActivBoard (less than a centimeter away from the
board; without touching the surface of the board), then press and release the barrel button
located on the side of the ActivPen. The right‐click menu will appear on the screen.
Click and drag
• Click on the object you want to move, hold the pen nib down on the board and then move the
ActivPen. The object you have clicked will move with the ActivPen.
Double‐click
• Two firm but quick taps with the ActivPen’s nib performs the same action as double‐clicking
with a mouse.
