1. “The most wonderful study of mankind is man. Relieving human suffering and diffusing universal knowledge is humanitarian.”
With a motto to serve humanity 9 students along with the escorting teachers Ms. Sonia Rattan and Ms. Anita Chawla visited the slum area of Indra Vihar on 26 May 2014 (Monday). The families were mostly deprived and poor. Malnutrition, hunger and lack of sanitation encompassed them. The local inhabitants were amiable bunch, eager to familiarise themselves with the students. As it is rightly said ‘Cleanliness is next Godliness’, so the Modernites turned into cleanliness scavengers and inculcated the knowledge of general hygiene to the residents of the area. It was a new learning experience for all.
