interests, experience and education in Sustainable Business Development and Construction
Management.
My confidential resume is attached for your review and consideration. Detailed on my resume is a solid,
successful background with over 20 years experience in commercial development and construction
management in several different areas of expertise. I’m an accomplished, results-driven professional with
a proven track record of being a top performer and an integral, highly valued team member.
I’ve successfully managed and completed several complex, sensitive private and public works
construction projects for some of the largest and most innovative companies in the U.S. These projects
include shopping centers, large civil infrastructure installations, new ground-up base buildings, distribution
and manufacturing facilities, tenant improvements and renovations of existing buildings.
Most recently I was employed as a construction manager at Regency Centers (the nation’s leading
owner, operator and developer of grocery anchored shopping centers) and promoted to senior
construction manager in 2007. As CM/Owner’s Representative, I returned over $1 million dollars in cost
savings at the completion of a $20 million dollar redevelopment project. I led a task force subcommittee
that was instrumental in establishing and implementing a new corporate sustainability program in 2007
titled “Greengenuity”, in addition to many other sustainability related initiatives companywide. I’m a
LEED Accredited Professional and currently working on a Global (green) MBA degree in Sustainable
Management (expected completion 07/2011).
Experience Pertinent to Position Requirements
• Over 20 years large-scale industry experience in all facets of commercial construction and
development including: real estate entitlement, leasing, property management, pre-construction
and construction management services. Management of commercial real estate development
projects over $100 million in value.
• Extensive knowledge of the solar industry, photovoltaic design and installation, solar rebates and
tax incentives, greenhouse gas emission reduction, minimizing an organization’s carbon footprint,
and other renewable energy technologies such as wind turbine, bio diesel and natural gas
technologies. My experience includes direct interface with some of the largest solar providers in
the United States such as Sun Power, BP Solar and Sun Technics/Solar Power Providers with
discussion on PPA (Power Purchase Agreements), how to effectively implement a solar program
that combines zero investment with a steady cash flow return through energy efficiency, reduced
rate structures and net metering.
• A professional very adept in written and oral communications including detailed presentations to
executive management and board members. Highly astute in budgeting, forecasting, financial
analysis and accounting controls.
• Vast business, technical and management experience in both a corporate setting and in field
supervision.
• A highly detailed, organized leader who effectively establishes and implements a “team-
collaborative” management approach to ensure strategic business objectives are being achieved.
