7. Michigan 2013 Economic Outlook Survey
This program has grown out of a four-year effort with Michigan Manufacturers Association.
Baker Strategy Group is a small Ann Arbor-based consulting firm and a Partner of the Detroit Economic Club. For the
last four years we have conducted the Michigan Manufacturing Outlook Survey with Chuck Hadden (CEO) and the
Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA).

For 2013, we plan to broaden the outlook beyond the manufacturing sector to include companies in multiple
industries throughout the state of Michigan. The goal is to provide a sizeable dataset of responses from Michigan’s
business community that can provide insight into how to improve the economy in Michigan. This survey effort is
meant to be a collaborative program and complementary to the current economic analysis efforts that exist.
