Instructional rounds will take place on two levels this year. First, rounds will be an important part of small group reflection, where a team of teachers who share a common planning hour observe two classrooms a month. In this format teachers will look for descriptive evidence and avoid subjective speculation about practice. Small groups will use our faculty protocol form and will also look for evidence in support of NEE indicators 1.2, 4.1, 5.1, and 7.4. Second, rounds will be used by department chairs as a school-wide strategy to identify problems of practice. As defined by Roberts: "a problem of practice is a statement that describes the instructional problem that a school is struggling with and that serves as a focus for classroom observations" (page 4). Department chairs will conduct rounds twice this year (once each semester) to support our progress toward our building goals. The purpose of this practice is not evaluative, this practice will report broad trends for staff reflection from a school-wide perspective; no individual teacher data will be reported. These slides were discussed during collaboration on September 19, 2013.

Abstract: [Background/rational] We organized a conflict transformation program with animation movies as a part of remedial course for elementary and secondary teachers to update their license. The aim of the present study was to introduce and evaluate the program session by analyzing 47 participants’ visual works and their answers to open-end questions. [Methods] The program consisted of four parts: (1) lecture on concepts of violence and peace proposed by Johan Galtung, (2) lecture and discussion on conflict by using two animation stories, (3) analysis of conflict cases provided by participants, and (4) collaborative group work by collectively constructing diagram of certain conflict case. [Results] A text mining analysis was conducted to each of the questions on troubles, conflicts, the group work evaluation, usefulness of the program, and demand for a better program. It revealed that the teachers had troubles/conflicts mostly about human relationships such as with “pupils”, “children”, “teachers” and “parents.”[Conclusions] The overall responses indicate the program we provided is educationally effective and efficient. The results also suggest that Japanese teachers have troubles/conflicts in the context of human relationships. The results also suggest that female teachers use more concrete and experiential expressions than male teachers. [Action/Impact] Learning conflict resolution is important for Japanese teachers to be able to solve problems and cope with school conflicts effectively. The sequence employed in the study, which consists of lecture, discussion, case analysis, and group work, provides a good example of effective and efficient programs of conflict resolution learning. .

Running Head: LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION IN TEACHING 1 LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION IN TEACHING Name Institutional affiliation Date LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION IN TEACHING 2 Students with disabilities need special attention when it comes to learning. Inclusive learning has been adopted by many teachers across the world. This is where they would prefer students with disabilities to learn in general classrooms alongside with non-disabled students. Special education teachers should serve as leaders who assists general education teachers in learning the needs of the students with disabilities. (Mulholland & O'Connor 2016). And how they are supposed to be treated in order to have a good understanding of subjects as mathematics. The teachers have an opportunity to demonstrate collaborative leadership and make sure that students are satisfied from their mode of teaching. Team teaching is important in inclusive learning. It helps special needs children have social interactions with their peers hence gaining positivity. There have been collaboration models that teachers are using in order to be successful in their activities and satisfying the needs of the students. The learning center collaboration model is important as different teachers gather in a room where students are arranged into groups. Special needs students help in giving instructions to other teachers on how to handle the mild disabled students. The other model is the alternative collaboration setting where special education teachers may work with paraeducators and ensure that the student programs are followed. (De Melendez & Beck 2018). Students are divided into small groups hence getting a chance with their instructors one on one. Inclusive learning will give a chance to the mild disabled students to learn how to solve mathematical problems easily. This is because they are interacting with other students under good guidance from different teachers and paraeducators. Teachers should adopt ways to come up with a safe and inclusive environment to students with disabilities. They should encourage all students to be one’s keeper even outside classrooms. This way, students who are fast learners will help students with mild disabilities to solve LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION IN TEACHING 3 mathematical problems. Second, they should encourage students based on life experiences. Show them that anything is achievable when it comes to the real world. (Ismail & Muhammad 2018). By doing this, teachers will help in creating an environment which is culturally responsive with good social interactions and better learning activities. Team teaching may .

Tracing the root cause of a performance issue requires a lot of patience, experience, and focus. It’s so hard that we sometimes attempt to guess by trying out tentative fixes, but that usually results in frustration, messy code, and a considerable waste of time and money. This talk explains how to correctly zoom in on a performance bottleneck using three levels of profiling: distributed tracing, metrics, and method profiling. After we learn to read the JVM profiler output as a flame graph, we explore a series of bottlenecks typical for backend systems, like connection/thread pool starvation, invisible aspects, blocking code, hot CPU methods, lock contention, and Virtual Thread pinning, and we learn to trace them even if they occur in library code you are not familiar with. Attend this talk and prepare for the performance issues that will eventually hit any successful system. About authorWith two decades of experience, Victor is a Java Champion working as a trainer for top companies in Europe. Five thousands developers in 120 companies attended his workshops, so he gets to debate every week the challenges that various projects struggle with. In return, Victor summarizes key points from these workshops in conference talks and online meetups for the European Software Crafters, the world’s largest developer community around architecture, refactoring, and testing. In the thrilling conclusion to 2023, ransomware groups had a banner year, really outdoing themselves in the "make everyone's life miserable" department. LockBit 3.0 took gold in the hacking olympics, followed by the plucky upstarts Clop and ALPHV/BlackCat. Apparently, 48% of organizations were feeling left out and decided to get in on the cyber attack action. Business services won the "most likely to get digitally mugged" award, with education and retail nipping at their heels. Hackers expanded their repertoire beyond boring old encryption to the much more exciting world of extortion. The US, UK and Canada took top honors in the "countries most likely to pay up" category. Bitcoins were the currency of choice for discerning hackers, because who doesn't love untraceable money?

When you’re building (micro)services, you have lots of framework options. Spring Boot is no doubt a popular choice. But there’s more! Take Quarkus, a framework that’s considered the rising star for Kubernetes-native Java. It always depends on what's best for your situation, but how to choose the best solution if you're comparing 2 frameworks? Both Spring Boot and Quarkus have their positives and negatives. Let us compare the two by live coding a couple of common use cases in Spring Boot and Quarkus. After this talk, you’ll be ready to get started with Quarkus yourself, and know when to select Quarkus or Spring Boot.

Corporate and higher education. Two industries that, in the past, have had a clear divide with very little crossover. The difference in goals, learning styles and objectives paved the way for differing learning technologies platforms to evolve. Now, those stark lines are blurring as both sides are discovering they have content that’s relevant to the other. Join Tammy Rutherford as she walks through the pros and cons of corporate and higher ed collaborating. And the challenges of these different technology platforms working together for a brighter future.

Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-teams-call-analytics-is-critical-to-your-entire-business Nothing is as frustrating and noticeable as being in an important call and being unable to see or hear the other person. Not surprising then, that issues with Teams calls are among the most common problems users call their helpdesk for. Having in depth insight into everything relevant going on at the user’s device, local network, ISP and Microsoft itself during the call is crucial for good Microsoft Teams Call quality support. To ensure a quick and adequate solution and to ensure your users get the most out of their Microsoft 365. But did you know that ‘bad calls’ are also an excellent indicator of other problems arising? Precisely because it is so noticeable!? Like the canary in the mine, bad calls can be early indicators of problems. Problems that might otherwise not have been noticed for a while but can have a big impact on productivity and satisfaction. Join this session by Christoph Adler to learn how true Microsoft Teams call quality analytics helped other organizations troubleshoot bad calls and identify and fix problems that impacted Teams calls or the use of Microsoft365 in general. See what it can do to keep your users happy and productive! In this session we will cover - Why CQD data alone is not enough to troubleshoot call problems - The importance of attributing call problems to the right call participant - What call quality analytics can do to help you quickly find, fix-, and prevent problems - Why having retrospective detailed insights matters - Real life examples of how others have used Microsoft Teams call quality monitoring to problem shoot problems with their ISP, network, device health and more.
