Abstract :
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Lighting Industry in India 2015 analyses the Indian lighting market into four broad dimensions, based on applications, technologies, geographies and end-market structures. It tracks the domestic production of different lighting equipment, such as lamps, LEDs and luminaires. Incandescent lamps dominate the non-LED lighting market, followed by CFL lamps and other fluorescent lamps. However, the market for incandescent lamps is shrinking, as people migrate to more energy-efficient and cost-effective sources of light. This is strongly reflected in the urban lighting usage pattern, where the share of incandescent lamps has shrunk to just one-fourth. In terms of growth, the Indian LED lighting market has outpaced non-LED lighting market by over four times and holds the most potential. Today, the Indian lighting market has evolved and offers specialized products such as mood-enhancing lights, LED candles and decorative lights.
Since the opening of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail, the lighting market in India has seen the entry of several international players. On the other hand, domestic players have expanded their presence throughout the country. The growth in Indian lighting market has been fuelled by the increase in disposable income, growing consumption in rural segment, rise in organized retail, boom in real estate sector, changing lifestyle of consumers, increasing availability of credit, improvement in rural electrification and the growing population. However, players are also facing challenges such as competition from unorganized segment, depreciation of Rupee and rise in energy costs, lack of consumer awareness about energy-efficient lighting and high import dependency.

DESIGN OF MPSS AND TCSC DAMPING CONTROLLERS IN MULTI- MACHINE POWER SYSTEM U...Editor IJMTER
The main approach of this paper is to do the small signal analysis in a two area four
machine power system which has coordinated design of both MPSS and TCSC. TCSC controller is
design based on power oscillation damping controller which is used for voltage series compensation
at the voltage sag, voltage swell .Small signal stability analysis is nothing but analysis in power
system for low frequency components in the range of 0.1hz to 2hz.Linear modeling of the power
system is carried out to find out the frequency analysis at the different system components like
transformer, other devices. BFO algorithm is used to minimize an Eigen value based multi-objective
in which it tunes the parameter of the POD controller ,it will be improve the system stability and it
saves the computational cost and in less iterations we can achieve the good optimized POD
parameter values. The time domain simulation in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment carried out on
two area four machine power system over various perturbations shows that superior enhancement in
damping of power system oscillations has been obtained by utilizing proposed PSS-POD coordinated
controllers in comparison with the CPSS-POD.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

With each of the past 3 Ruby releases, YJIT has delivered higher and higher performance. However, we are seeing diminishing returns, because as JIT-compiled code becomes faster, it makes up less and less of the total execution time, which is now becoming dominated by C function calls. As such, it may appear like there is a fundamental limit to Ruby’s performance.
In the first half of the 20th century, some early airplane designers thought that the speed of sound was a fundamental limit on the speed reachable by airplanes, thus coining the term “sound barrier”. This limit was eventually overcome, as it became understood that airflow behaves differently at supersonic speeds.
In order to break the Ruby performance barrier, it will be necessary to reduce the dependency on C extensions, and start writing more gems in pure Ruby code. In this talk, I want to look at this problem more in depth, and explore how YJIT can help enable writing pure-Ruby software that delivers high performance levels.
