Supplies needed:
Flexible Drinking Straw
Sweet Green Pea
Game Board
Clean Up Your
Duty Choice
Jelly Roll Pan
Extra
No Veggie
Dessert
5. Meal-time Pea-shuffle Board
The rules:
◦ Use standard Post-it notes to create 4-10 game board
pieces.
Some starter ideas = clear the table, set the table, clean
up, your choice, free pass, no veggie, extra dessert… Be
creative and let the kids suggest ideas!
◦ Stick the board pieces (created above) to the bottom of
a jelly roll pan. Cover no more than 80% of the pan
bottom, leaving a starting area on one end.
◦ Each child is issued their own flexible straw – if you have
colored straws, let them choose.
◦ Place five cooked peas at one end of the pan on the open
surface (not on a board piece).
◦ Each child gets five chances (five peas) to blow (one puff
of air) through the straw and drive the pea to one of the
board pieces.
◦ If more than one of the five peas stop on a board
piece, the child chooses.
◦ The board is cleared before the next child’s turn.
