1. For our ancillary task, we have decided to produce a Double
Page spread from a TV listings magazine focusing on our
documentary ‘Christmas: Unwrapped’. We took photographs of
double page spreads from a listings magazine called Total Film.
Total Film is a British film magazine published every four weeks by Future Publishing. The
magazine was launched in 1997 and offers film, DVD and Blu-ray news, reviews and
features. It is the second-biggest selling film magazine in Britain, after Empire.
2. Here we can see that the image is
covering both pages and the text is
played over the top of it. It makes the
image the main focus and
enhances/supports what the article
is about
Megan Fox the main actress in
‘Transformers’. Text in white text

they are laid out on
the page with one
on either side on
both pages. Text is in
the bottom corners
of both pages
3. There is never an excessive amount of text
on the double page spreads. The text boxes
are small and often feature at the bottom
of one of the pages – making sure the image
is the focal point of the spread.
