Whether by television, internetsearches, or social networking, teens can learn about their own sexualhealth as it pertains to relationships, pregnancy and birth control, and sexually transmitted disease.

These shows depict the trial that young teens go through in pregnancy, birth, and caring for a child.
“The impact of strong pregnancy prevention messages directed to teenagers has been credited with the birth rate declines”. -The National Survey of Teen birth rates have Family Growthdropped 44% from 1991.
• Storyline shows the conflicts of teenage love that can often occur.Lessons can be learned bywatching Boy Meets World.

On Good Morning America, teens had escaped life in an abusiverelationship. The progression of abuse, the warnings, and the signs were all discussed.

24% of sexually active teens have multiple partners 20 known types of STI’s 65 million people infected
The Public Health Commission has created a Facebookpage which links kids to informative information using YouTube video messages. Manyother companies are doing this as well.
“STIs are entirely preventable…it is critically important that we create an environment where young people can start to haveconversation about the fact that this is not OK”.
The Kaiser Family Foundation report that, “822,000 calls were completed to a hotline through MTV. Of thee, 336,000 calls were transferred to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for more information”.
With 46% of teens admittingto being sexually active, therehas never been a greater need to educate and inform about the risks of pregnancy andSTI’s as well as the forming of relationships, both healthy and unhealthy.
