4. ARE YOU A SHEEP?ARE YOU A SHEEP?
•Not very bright.
•A tendency to wander off and get lost.
5. PSALM 23:1
•The Lord is my shepherd.
•Everything I need.
•If I have not everything I desire, I may
conclude it is either not fit for me or not
good for me or I shall have it in due time.
6. PSALM 23:2
•Contentment, security, ample provision.
•Quiet waters – waters of refreshing or restful
waters.
•Restore – to return to original condition or
bring back to health.
7. PSALM 23:3
•Paths of righteousness.
•For His Name’s sake.
•When we walk in these paths we honour His
Name.
8. PSALM 23:4
• The valley of the shadow of death or the darkest valley.
• A shadow has no substance.
• We cannot be run over by the shadow of a car!
• If there is shadow – there must be light!
• Walk – no need to run. Walk through it!
9. BECAUSE YOU ARE WITH
ME
•From talking about God to talking to God.
•Your rod – for counting, guiding, rescuing and
protecting.
•Your staff – a support.
10. THE SCENE CHANGES
•From Shepherd and sheep to Host and guest.
•A table prepared for me – not in secret!
•Not meagre – my cup overflows!
•It’s a banquet!
11. HE ANOINTS MY HEAD
WITH OIL
•A setting apart for God.
•A sign of bestowing a blessing.
•A sign of equipping for service.
•You have welcomed me as a special guest.
