1. S ITUATION- I couldn’t find where I put the address for the new dance shoe store and I needed it
before the next day.
T ASK- I had to call somebody else that I knew would have the address.
A CTION- I called my friend from dancing and asked her for the address of the dance shoe store. She
had the address in her address book, so she called it out to me so I could write it down.
R ESULT- I got the address of the dance shoe store before the next day.

2. S ITUATION- It was my little sister’s 10th birthday and I planned to have a surprise party for her. I was
stressing that I was going to forget something important for the party, like prizes or something.
T ASK- Find a way to plan and organise everything so I don’t forget anything that is important for
the party.
A CTION- I wrote out to do lists and checklists for the party and I ticked off everything as I went
down the list of things I needed and things I needed to do.
R ESULT- The party was a huge success and everything ran smoothly.
I remembered everything!

3. S ITUATION- It was my cousin’s wedding and the waist band of her dress wouldn’t do up, about
half an hour before the ceremony was going to begin.
T ASK- I had to find someway to fix the dress in half an hour.
A CTION- I found a diamond, flower hair piece and a large piece of ivory material (same colour as
her dress). I tied the material into a large bow and I sewed the hair piece to the centre of the bow. I
tacked the bow over the waist band on my cousins dress and covered where the dress wouldn’t do
up.
R ESULT- I fixed my cousin’s wedding dress and it looked even more
beautiful than before.

4. S ITUATION- I was reading a magazine and saw a hairstyle that I really liked and wanted to learn how
to do for my school ball. The instructions were on the next page.
T ASK- Learn how to do my hair like the image in the magazine.
A CTION- I read and followed the instructions, in the magazine, step by step.
R ESULT- My hair turned out just like the picture in the magazine and out
of it all I learnt how to do a new hairstyle.
