I need this to help establish the training program that Veterans require to obtain certification. Once they are certified they could work for me and I could get them on audits. They can also obtain employment at any company that is currently certified or looking to get certified.
2. Personal Story
I'm a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran with a diverse background. After
serving his country for 15 years I earned my Bachelor's degree and
earned my EMBA from Arizona State University in May 2013. In 2014
I finished Six Sigma Greenbelt and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
courses. In my free time I enjoy riding motorcycles, watching and
playing golf, football, and basketball. I run a small consulting
business focused primarily on young people and military Veterans
trying to enter the workforce.I run an organization that will work to
train, certify, and place Veterans. My organization will certify
Veterans in Quality Management Systems, Aerospace, Medical,
Automotive and other business management systems. Once
certified a Veteran can become a business systems auditor, an
internal auditor for a company, or start their own business like I
have. I need the money to pay for a location, organize training, and
campaign to further inform Vets and companies of the value a
Veteran has in this career.
Overview
3. Business Description
Provide auditing, consulting, and instruction for business
management systems (ISO 9001). I started this business in July 2014.
Since then I have cleared 80K in sales as a one man organization. In
2011 I was working for the federal government and going to school to
obtain my MBA. Through that process I started auditing. I realized that
there was a clear connection between business, management system
auditing and consulting, and my military career. I was able to pick up
this career field fairly easy and I know that with my training and
guidance other Veterans can succeed in this career, or better yet own
their own company. My biggest challenge is many are unaware of this
career field and educating them about the potential. Finance
institutions prove challenging as well because they are not familiar
with this line of business. However, over 1.5 million organizations are
currently registered to ISO 9001. Through my business I hope to
provide Veterans with a renewed sense of purpose. I want them to
have a career they can grow in and be proud of. I am a certified
auditor and I could focus on my individual growth and have a
profitable career. I have chosen to put my own money up in order to
get this company off the ground and make a difference. Since I left the
military I have personally worked with Veterans on my own time to get
them careers and worked with Arizona legislature to push bills in
support of Veteran hiring initiatives.
4. What is the purpose of this loan?
I need this to help establish the training program that Veterans require
to obtain certification. Once they are certified they could work for me
and I could get them on audits. They can also obtain employment at
any company that is currently certified or looking to get certified.
Lastly, they could become an independent auditor and work for any
certification company. There are several career options available but
only if they are certified or in training to get certified. I am in talks with
two major certification bodies. I have been reviewed a partnership
agreement with a firm from India over the past two weeks. Once
enacted I will have complete backend support for all certifications.
