1. BEYOND - BEE Process Management
BEE Process is defined with the Codes of Good Practice on Black Economic Empowerment
defined by Department of Trade and Industry. The Codes define what an organisation needs to
do to contribute to transformation in South Africa. In order to give the broadest effect to
transformation, the Codes define seven areas where this is applicable. These are Ownership,
Management, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Preferential Procurement, Enterprise
Development and Socio-economic Development.
This was the culmination of a process of consultation with a wide range of stakeholders from
business, government and labour and sets out what the government believes organisations can
do to contribute to the process of black economic empowerment in a meaningful way.
The main objective of BEYOND - BEE Process Management Application is to measure the BEE
Compliance on all 7 elements of Generic scorecard. Major focus is to define all standards for
Human Capital, Value Chain and Sustainability & Governance based on BEE Principles defined
by Department of Trade and Industry, which can help any Company who want to get their BEE
Generic Scorecard evaluated on annual basis for optimizing their Process & Strategies to score
more. This system is totally fact based and provides consolidated evaluation platform which can
be integrated with Client existing Databases associated with Governance, Human Capital &
Value Chain. On basis of this information BEE Process Management Application takes care of
scenario planning all seven elements of BEE Generic Scorecard.
