4. Ethanol uses enormous amounts of water in the
process of its production. We want to bring the
public’s attention to this water wasting process
and the fact that they are actually consuming
ethanol on a regular basis. To accomplish this we
are launching a guerrilla awareness campaign
that involves the placement of informational vinyl
advertisements by the public on building windows
and heavily trafficked sidewalks. We will also place
informational pieces in heavily trafficked water
usage areas, such as public pools and public
restrooms, which will compare the amount of water
they are using to the amount of water used in the
production of ethanol fuel.

10. In this part of the campaign we will attempt
to address the problem with practical current
alternatives to using ethanol laced gasoline. In the
first part of our campaign we attempted to raise
awareness about the amount of water used in the
production of ethanol and emphasize the fact that
consumers typically use the water wasting ethanol
everyday when they consume gasoline.
We want the presented alternatives to be easy,
simple, and readily available to the average
American (i.e. Chico citizens). We are not
scientists; we are not going to invent a miracle
solution to the problem, we merely want to inform
the public and encourage the use of effective
alternatives. Solutions include common forms
of public transportation (which often run on
alternative fuels such as natural gas), walking and
biking, electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, and
other bio-fuels which are less impactful on the
water supply.
