This document discusses Bangladesh's .BD domain space and proposes moving to a shared registry model. Currently, Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL) acts as the sole domain manager, registry, and register for .BD domains. The proposed model would separate these functions between BTCL as domain manager, a new independent registry, and accredited private registers. This is intended to introduce a sustainable business model and promote growth of Bangladesh's presence on the internet through its domain system.
