Hinduphobic Academia and Media refers to the almost conscious approach of Academia and Media to
show Hinduism and in the poor light. Hinduphobia is a term coined by Rajiv Malhotra. Allegedly many
politically motivated academic work have been done to demonize Hinduism in general and ancient
Indian civilization in particular. And unfortunately almost all Historians, Scholars have not responded to
it intellectually, Instead many have even been silent on such fanatic and demonizing representation of
Hinduism. Indian Media and International Media have repeatedly been showing its character of being
biased against Hinduism.

Hinduphobic Academicians
Wendy Doniger's book The Hindus: An Alternative History is an example of intellectual dishonesty
wherein Wendy Doniger have demonized Hindu spiritual values and practices. She went on to state that
Tribhanga, which is an essential part of many classical dances in India, represents a cocked hip. Through
misinterpretations of Indian spiritual traditions and Bengali language she termed Ramakrishna sexually
abused Swami Vivekananda. Apart from this she made many such malicious and derogatory remarks in
her book about Indian deities. She even went on to demonize great philosophical text Bhagavad Gita.
Rajiv Malhotra Response to Wendy Doniger's Work
Unfortunately, there was no one from Indian universities who could challenge Wendy Doniger's
Intellectual dishonesty. However, Scientist turned Philosopher Rajiv Malhotra noticed this increasing
trend of demonizing Hinduism and ancient Indian civilization and wrote extensively about her fraud
scholarship to make aware Indians, Hindus and people from academia. [1]
Hinduphobic International Media Reporting
Washington Post's approach to Hinduism was narrated first time by Rajiv Malhotra. Rajiv Malhotra
talked about prevailing intellectual corruption which manifests as Hinduphoia.[2]

Hypocrisy of Indian Mainstream Media
NDTV reporting on Ghar Wapasi has been selective. NDTV's hypocrisy is evident as it never reports
religious conversion of Tribals and SC/STs Hindus by allurement. But it has extensively been reporting
about Ghar Wapasi.Also while NDTV reported alleged attacks on 6 churches in Delhi it never reported
theft and attacks on more than 200 temples across India.[3]
