• Home Coming this Saturday October 22nd(If you
signed up to work a shift please make sure you
are on time)
• Career Center Etiquette Dinner will be on

6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. in the Gateway Center
Ballroom
• Boo Bash will be held on October 28,20011
starting at 5:30 in the Union
5. Things to look for …

• Student Guests We will be hosting a group of
about 10-20 4-H kids from Slidell ISD coming next
Tuesday, October 25 from about 4:00p.m.-
6:00p.m. We need one more volunteer to host
this group (preferably a hospitality major) to walk
the group from Gateway to Chilton.
• Canned food collection All of the canned food
collected will go to Our Daily Bread ,here in
Denton. (Cans can be dropped of in Mrs. Wilson’s
office Chilton 355A )

• For those of you who may be interested Make
a Difference Day will be on October 29th ,and
will be a good way to get your additional 3
hours of community service

Important dates in November are:
• The Holiday Jewelry Sale will be on November 1st
and 2nd from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. Our selling
station will be located on the 3rd floor of Chilton
Hall in the hallway to the North side of the
advising offices.
• Merchandising Sample Sale will be held on
November 10th in the first floor of the union from
(9:00a.m.-2:15p.m.) Volunteers helping will also
need to attend a mandatory training on Tuesday,
November 8 at 8:30a in Chilton 345.

• ‘NT Preview Day will be on Saturday,
November 19. We will need volunteers to
help sometime between 10a-2:30p
You will just hang out with them, and Mrs. Wilson is planning to be there also. The group will have students 3rd grade 12th grade. They want to tour our restaurant at Gateway, the food prep lab and learn about our hospitality program. Kaitlin Paisley is already doing it.
For the Merchandising Sample Sale, we need 2 more volunteers for the 12:45-1:30p shift and 5 more volunteers for the 1:30p-2:15p shift. Volunteers helping will also need to attend a mandatory training on Tuesday, November 8 at 8:30a in Chilton 345.
