While many people fall into the trap of looking just at acquisition costs of their messaging system, those s/w and server costs are just the tip of the iceberg. Over 4-5 years Total Cost of Ownership, the hidden costs far outweigh license and hardware. The right architecture shrinks those costs significantly, resulting in a much lower total cost.
