Planning Ideas for Horror
         Trailer

      SARAH, RYAN, REECE
Brief of Project

 Our intention is to create a theatrical trailer for a
potential horror film to appeal to the conventional
 target audience of this genre.
Influences

 Nightmare on Elm Street: this is because of the
concept that the killer comes after people in their
dreams, however we want to alter some of the ideas
  in this film.
 Insidious: this film is based upon a demonic figure
that is brought from another world by the mind of a
  child.
Possible Ideas for Title

 Figment – something someone will believe exists,
but only exists within their own imagination.

 Tribulation – a cause of great trouble or suffering.

 Misconception – a view that is wrong because it
 based on a misunderstanding.
Slogan Ideas

 The human mind is the scariest of them all

 Woe is he, he is me
Narrative

 Jamie (victim), is haunted by the figure of her
grandfather’s ex army acquaintance who he left to
  die.
 Now she is hallucinating that this man is coming
back for her to seek revenge against her grandfathers
  actions.
 These dreams and hallucinations are causing her to
think he is actually back, but the power of her mind
eventually brings him in a solid form of a killer.
Ideas for Shots

 Fast, flashing shots to build up a climax within the
 trailer.

 Flashbacks, with use of black and grey filters for
 dramatic effects.
