R410A refrigerant requires careful consideration of installation location to ensure proper performance and avoid issues. The outdoor unit location should allow unblocked airflow and avoid heat sources. Indoor units require minimum clearances and should not be placed too high or in locations blocking airflow. Installation tools and procedures also differ from R22 systems and require special gauges and charge hoses to handle higher pressures.

4. R410A Temperature-Pressure Chart
How its different from R22?
A temperature-pressure chart can easily be used for charging, refrigerant cycle
analysis and diagnosis.
R410A is 1.6 times higher vapor pressure than R-22 when saturated.

5. R410A Procedure
Why its different from R22?
R410A must be charged in liquid state.
It’s a mixed refrigerant, if charging in vapor state the composition might changed.

6. R410A Special Tool
Why its different from R22?
As pressure is high,it is impossible to measure using conventional gauge,
To increase pressure resisting strength, hose materials and port size are different.
New Tools Applicable to R22 Changes

Caution during installation :
DO NOT mix refrigerants in your tools.

7. R410A Lubrication
Why its different from R22?
The chemistry of R-410A makes it incompatible with mineral based lubricants
The preferred lubricants are the Polyolester or Ether based oils.
Exposure to the atmosphere must be limited.

Caution during installation :
The oil is miscible, so it is very important to remove as much particulates

60. Test Run
How? Why?
Press “On/Off” button and hold for 3~6 secs. To enter a mode that is specially designed
for Test Run.
Check operating pressure,current, voltage etc.
Ensure the product work properly or not.
Test Run Operating Logic :
In this mode, regardless of the outside temperature, the unit will operate
for 18±1 minute in below conditions:
-Cooling Mode -Indoor Fan High RPM
ON/OFF
-Thermal On/Comp On -Vertical Auto Swing Airflow

- Comp. fixed frequency
Check Items :
1. Measure the temperature of the intake & discharge air.
Ensure the difference between the intake
& discharge temp. is more than
8℃ (Cooling) & 14℃(Heating)

Editor's Notes
The procedure must be as follows: ·Connect a nitrogen cylinder to one end of the pipework to be jointed using a regulator set to a low pressure, the far end of the pipework to be open to atmosphere ·Turn on the gas and regulate the flow to a flow rate can easily be felt on the back of a moistened hand about 0.03 to 0.06 CFM (1 to 2 liters per minute). ·The nitrogen should be allowed to flow without building up a pressure in the pipeline. ·Continue the flow until the joints have cooled.
NOTE: As brazing work requires sophisticated techniques, experiences based upon a theoretical knowledge, it must be performed by a person qualified.
