2. Reliance on Allah is to consign the matter to
Him, to depend on Him, to substitute your
defences for His defences and your power for
His power; in other words to dispense with
your actions for His actions and your will for
His Will .

3. 1- A command from Allah to the prophet and the
believers
“ Therefore ( O Muhammad ) rely upon Allah, for
you are on the clear truth “ 27:79
* According to Abdullah Ibn Omar ( may Allah
accept them )
[ I read the description of the prophet ( Muhammad
- BPUH) in the Torah: Muhammad the messenger
of Allah, my slave and my messenger, I named
him The Reliant ( Almotawa`kel - on Allah ) , he
is not arrogant, nor is he bold, nor is he loud in
the markets ]

4. 2- Allah linked between Belief and Reliance:
“ And upon Allah let the believers rely “ 5:11
“ And upon Allah rely if you are indeed
believers “ 5:23
“ Only those are the true believers who when
Allah is mentioned their hearts trembles and
when His verses are recited to them it
increases them in faith, and upon their Lord
they rely “ 8:2

5. 1- Gains Allah‟s love:
“ Allah loves those who rely upon Him “ 3:159
2- Sends in the heart calmness and tranquillity :
“ And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient
for him “ 65:3
“ And rely upon Allah, for Allah is sufficient as The
Disposer of all affairs “ 33:3

6. 3- Grants protection against Satan: According to
Anas Ibn Malik ( may Allah accept him ): who
says [ in the name of Allah, I rely on Allah and
there is no power or protection except by Allah
] receives a reply [ you are guided, and
sufficed, and protected ] and the devil leaves
him alone and says to another devil [ what
could you do with a man who have been
guided, sufficed and protected ] Narrated by
Al-Neice`aey and Abu-dawoud.

your affairs

7. It is the dependence on
Allah in all matters and
under all
circumstances, asking
him for help together
with striving in using the

8. Actions of the Heart
According to Omar Ibn Alkhatab (may Allah accept him)
that the prophet ( BPUH) said: If you truly rely on
Allah, He would provide for you like He provide for
the birds; they go out early in the day with an empty
stomach and return at the end of the day with a full
stomach. Narrated by Al-Tirmithi
Where does this trust comes from ?
“ And rely upon The Exalted in Might, The Merciful “
26:217
“ And rely upon The Ever Living Who dies not, and
hymn His praise “ 25:58
“ Lord of the East and the West; there is no God except
Him; so take Him as disposer of your affairs “ 73:9

“ And why should we not rely upon Allah while
He has guided us to our ( good ) ways “ 14:12
What is the Divine role in using the means ?
“ To Allah belongs the sovereignty of the
heavens and the earth and whatever is in
it, and He is able to do all things” 5:120
“ Should He not know what He created ? And
He is The Subtle The Expert “ 67:14
“ And you threw not ( O Muhammad ) when you
threw, but it was Allah who threw “ 8:17

“ Those to whom people said, Indeed, the people have
gathered for you , so fear them. But it merely increase
them in faith, and they said ; sufficient for us is
Allah, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs “ 3:173
“ We said: O fire, be coolness and safety upon Ibrahim”
21:69
“ Our Lord upon You we have relied, and to You we
have returned, and to You is the destination” 60:4

Before starting a journey, the Prophet (PBUH) would say:
'Allahumma haw-win alaina safar rana hatha watwee anna
bodahu, Allahumma anntas sahibu fis safari wal khalifatu
11fil ahli, Allahumma inni aoothubika min
wa-sa-issafari wa kabatil manzari wa su-il munqalabi
fil mali wal ahli wa-waluad.„
(O Allah, we seek virtue and piety from You on this journey of
ours, and the act which pleases You. O Allah lightens this
journey of ours, and roll up for us the distance thereof. O
Allah, You are (our) companion during the journey, and guardian
of (our) family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of
this journey, from beholding a miserable sight and of evil
chances in my wealth, household and my children.)

'Allahu Akbar' 'Allahu Akbar' 'Allahu Akbar'
(God is Great), (God is Great), (God is Great)
'Subhanalathi Sakharalna Hatha wa maakuna lahu
mughrenin, wa ina ilarabbina lamunqaliboon.'
(Glory is to Him Who subdued for us this [means of
travel] as we were not ourselves powerful enough to
use it as a mount, and we are going to return to our
Lord.)
