into Municipal Solid Wastes (MSW), Special Wastes and
Hazardous Wastes

6. MSW is usually stocked as-it-is into a DUMP, that
even if well erected, has the following risks:

7. The Briquette is essentially an extruded of
heterogeneous materials, extremely compact
and dense (1100 ÷ 1400 kg/m3).
The briquettes are obtainable through a
double-screw extruder (Briquetting machine)

10. The gasification technology, and its
application to technical and industrial
wastes, has reached advanced levels in
many countries since it has been
developed for more than 70 years, by
some of the biggest energy production
companies such as TEXACO, SHELL,
etc…
11. The Gasification is a thermochemical process which consists
in the partial oxidation of the solid fuel, to convert it into gaseous fuel.
Through the combustion of a fraction of the fed material is possible
to supply the thermic energy which is necessary for the drying and
volatilization of the remaining part
The process takes place in poor atmosphere of oxygen (under stoichiometric)
so using less than the necessary quantity needed for a complete combustion.
The result of this operation is the transfer of the energetic contents of the first
P.C.I. solid substance (and to a lesser extent in the sensible warmth)
in a gaseous fuel phase and so, of easier wider and more flexible use
