Hi , in this module we will show you how to purchase and sell textbooks.
To purchase books from Webster go to Louisville Webster homepage. On the right, there is a quick link to order textbooks from our MBS bookstore.
After clicking on the quick link choose “order my books.”
Online students can enroll in a Money for Textbooks program. If you are not in that program, click on “no.” In my case I will be paying for my textbooks directly so I clicked “no”.
Click on a term and select a site.
This is what the page will display. If you choose to take a class at the Louisville or Radcliff campus, click on the Louisville Metropolitan Campus.
Choose a course, I have chosen to purchase a textbook for Finance 5000.
You also have the option of buying a new or used textbook.
After selecting your textbooks, click on “proceed to checkout”.
To begin your checkout process, you will need to either register as a new customer or returning user. Remember, as a student at Webster you are not required to purchase textbooks from the University.
Online stores like Cheapbooks, Amazon, and others can find your book for you. Just make sure you get the right edition. If a book has support materials that will be used in the class like homework manager, make sure your book comes with those items. It is easier to use our MBS bookstore but the cost savings may be worth the effort.
Other options are to rent or get an online book. These approaches are significantly cheaper.
When you finish the class, you may want to sell your book. We have a book buyer on campus each term if you would like to sell to them. Several of the local bookstores will also pay for used textbooks.
To sell a book, click on the sell my books tab. Just follow the process and you’ll be slightly richer once again.
