1. Cross promo offer:
If anyone buys something at an anchor shop outlet in another mall, women get a
discount at the same anchor shot at BAS Mall.
The Mother/child month:
Moms who buy something get a discount on stuff for their kids during a particular
month.
The Pink Offer:
Wear something pink and get a discount on any item for ladies and children.
The Laila/Majnu offer:
Any male accompanied by a female gets a discount on something he buys for
himself.
Ladies and babies day out offer:
Come to BAS with your kids and get discounts.
The Cinderella Offer:
Women who buy something at BAS get something else that costs half as much
free.
The Black and white offer:
Couples dressed in black (ladies) and white (men) get discounts.
The 341-card for women:
A discount booklet containing 341 coupons for women, only, to use to buy stuff at
BAS mall.
‘Like our page’ offer:
Women who ‘like’ the BAS page on facebook for the first time, receive an email
from the BAS team containing a unique id, which they have to come down to the
BAS Mall and submit to receive discounts at various shops. The shops offering
discounts can be rotated on a weekly basis. This will encourage more women to
like the BAS page on fb.
Educational Donate and discount offer:
In the run up to every new academic year, the mall can invite families to donate
the previous year’s bag, clothes, books and the like. In return, these families get
discounts on school related purchases for the next year. For example, give
something for the less privileged kids of the world and get something off on new
stuff in return.
The standard promotion offer for school going children:
From the 1st to 12th of every month or every alternate month or the slow months,
we run a promotion that is planned like this: on 1st of the month, parents with kids
2. in the 1st grade get 10% off on purchases for kids. On 2nd of the month, parents
with kids in the second grade get 10% off purchases for kids. On 3rd of the
month, parents with kids in the 3rd grade get 10% off on purchases for kids. And
this goes on till the 12th of the ‘promotion’ month.
The collaborative recipe book idea:
People are encouraged to contribute recipes one month. Once they have done
so, the next month, BAS will collect the best recipes and print them in the form of
a recipe book. This collaborative recipe book will be given away to folks who visit
the mall. We can use the data gathered in this manner to launch other targeted
promotions.
The ‘Don’t care about your kids’ initiative:
We set up a play area in the mall and encourage families to come by telling them
that we will take care of and monitor their kids, for a small fee, while the parents
can go about their business at the mall unhindered.
3. Idea is to have a location-based shopping application for BAS outlets.
Create an app for mobile devices, which rewards users with points for walking
into a store. BAS customers can use these points to scan products ranging from
food and cleaning supplies to electronics and toys, redeemable for discount
coupons. Shoppers enjoy being rewarded, and when they are for simply walking
into a store, many will take the next step and buy. This particular mobile idea can
be promoted on mobile and non-mobile platforms to increase awareness.
