Minimum Daily Tariff
The minimum daily package covers the following services.
• A minimum of 3 star accommodation (4 & 5 star may require
an additional premium).
• All meals
• A licensed Bhutanese tour guide for the extent of your stay
• All internal transport (excluding internal flights)
• Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours
• All internal taxes and charges
• A sustainable tourism Royalty of $65. This Royalty goes
towards free education, free healthcare, poverty alleviation,
along with the building of infrastructure.
The minimum daily package for tourists travelling in a group of 3
persons or more is as follows:
USD $200 per person per night for the months of January, February,
June, July, August, and December.
USD $250 per person per night for the months of March, April,
May, September, October, and November.
These rates are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan.
On the day of departure, ‘World Tour Plan” host obligation shall be
limited to providing breakfast only and any extra requirements shall
be payable on usage basis.
The Royal Government of Bhutan sets minimum selling prices for
packages to Bhutan.These must be paid in US dollars prior to arrival
in Bhutan.
The two national carriers of Bhutan are DrukAir and Bhutan Airlines
who commenced operations in 2013. DrukAir fly regularly to Paro,
Bhutan’s only international airport, from Bangkok, Dhaka, Delhi,
Mumbai, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Gaya, Kathmandu and
Singapore. Bhutan Airlines operate a daily service between Bangkok
and Paro via Kolkata.
2. GoTrekking: A trekker’s paradise, Bhutan offers a range of trekking
routes for both beginners and professionals. Among many, the
recently opened Merak-Sakteng trekking route in Eastern Bhutan
takes you to places virtually unvisited by the outsiders. Or you can
challenge yourself with the world’s most difficult trek-the snowman’s
trek.
EnjoyNature:Bhutan is home to numerous exotic plants and animals.
Orchids, blue poppy and rhododendrons thrive in the wild. Takin,
the golden langur, the red panda and the black-necked cranes are

Popular Seasons: Bhutan enjoys four distinct seasons of Spring,
Summer, Autumn and Winter and, although you can visit all year
round, spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November)
seasons are favored by many. The popular festivals also take place
around that time.
Weather: During spring and autumn, the weather is generally warm
with bright, sunny days and clear, crisp nights with the temperatures
ranging from 5 degrees Celsius to a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius,
perfect for trekking as well. Summer months of June, July and August
see plenty of rain and in winter, the weather is generally dry and cold
with occasional snow in the northern region.
