1. HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?

2. Our media product represents teenage girls as vulnerable. It does this by only using young female characters throughout the opening defenceless from any danger. This plays on societies fears of murderers and villains. Also similar to our narrative is ‘scream’ which also consisted of a young woman victim, I think by placing young girl without any type of ‘male’ protection it instantly makes them more vulnerable. I think this reflects on how the media portray this social group as it is a demographic which is greatly influenced by the media. Throughout our opening, two girls are shown watching a scary film via a laptop which represents new media technology, this illustrates that they are modern day teenagers. There appears to be a girl cutting a carrot, in the kitchen, this is a stereotype which we thought to play on.
