Since Khilen joined TC World in 2008 he has been keen to learn and gain experience in the direct
marketing industry and has had a clear focus on what he wanted to achieve.
“Since I started at TC World, life has changed for me both personally and in business. In business I
have managed to progress through the company very quickly and I was promoted to Owner
within 12 months.
“It’s been an amazing journey so far – seeing the business grow from strength to strength and
seeing the work we do day to day help so many individuals.
“Personally this business has enabled me to buy my first house and has given me the opportunity
to help my family financially. I look forward to what lies ahead.”
3. Louise Cobham
Manchester, Recruitment Manager
Louise started her career in the hotel industry and has worked in numerous luxury hotels after studying international
tourism management at UCLAN.
“Since I joined TC World as a Recruitment Administrator in 2008 I have never looked back since. It’s a fantastic feeling to
enjoy coming into work every day and I felt at home the minute I started.
“When the opportunity for a senior administrator came up to work in the Preston location, I jumped at the chance. I
now look after two companies here in Preston and I absolutely love it!
“I have been able to take on extra responsibilities and I am using the skills I have been taught to help teach and train
new administrators, which is so exciting.”
“My goals for the TC World organisation are to be an integral part of building a base in Preston, to enable the
organisation to open up new offices in different locations and to expand throughout the UK. My personal goal is to
be promoted to Organisational Head Administrator.”
4. Alex Arnold
Location Administration Manager
Alex joined TC World in 2009 as a recruitment administrator in Manchester, having previously worked in
childcare.
Her role at TC World has changed over the years and has given her the opportunity to experience different
aspects of the business.
As part of TC World’s commitment to help employees progress, Alex completed an NVQ in Business
Administration.
"I have been given the chance to manage the recruitment hub in our Manchester head office, which is a
fantastic opportunity for me as I love teaching and training new administrators, and being given extra
responsibilities.
"My goals for the next 12 months are to create a successful award winning recruitment team in Manchester
and to assist in helping the organisation grow to the next level.”
5. Dale Garbutt
Charities
Dale joined TC World in 2012 with little experience in sales and marketing. Previously, he worked in retail for
Ted Baker.
“I started with TC World in June 2012 and was promoted in just eight months. In April 2013 I was given the
opportunity to head up the Sports division for the East Midlands and I am now based in Nottingham.
“I can honestly say that I am at the most exciting part of my life right now and it's all down to taking hold of the
opportunity I was given.
“My future goals are to promote several offices in the UK and to expand the Sports division into Canada
and America."
Dale has now moved into the Home Efficiency division.
6. Matthew Shuttleworth
Events Co-ordinator
Matt joined TC World in September 2013 after working for Tesco for seven years.
Having worked as a customer service assistant, dealing with customers on a face-to-face basis every day, Matt was ideal
for the role.
“When I was offered the position at TC World, I was really excited and ready to take on this new challenge.”
As an avid football fan, Matt plays football for Boothstown FC, but also supports Manchester United. And, since joining
the company, he has benefited from watching major games at United with the managing director, VIP style.
While working with TC World, Matt has used his customer service experience and worked in both the recruitment and
events management departments.
“My goals are to be successful in the company and to strengthen my skills further within my role. As the company
expands, I would like to manage my own team.”
7. Martha Kawara
Location Administrator
Martha came to the UK from Zimbabwe with eight years’ banking experience.
She worked for a sister company to TC World for a number of years as a Location/Recruitment
Administrator.
“I was so impressed with TC World’s work ethic and vision that when an opportunity to be a Recruitment
Administrator in the Manchester office came up I was more than thrilled to join.
“My main goal is to work as part of the resourcing team providing a high standard of support in all areas of the
recruitment process and work towards leading a recruitment team.
