New York-Style Pizza Wherever You May Be!
2. Introduction
• Founded by Anthony Russo in 1979, Russo’s
Italian Restaurant is a family-owned fine
dining establishment in Texas that boasts of
unique and timeless recipes passed on from
one generation to another.
3. Origin
• The story of Russo’s began when Anthony was just a
little boy making his way in New York City as the son of
culinary masters. Inheriting a strong passion for food,
he was extremely fond of spending his free time inside
the warm and welcoming kitchens of prominent Italian
chefs, where he learned how to whip up delightful
Italian meals and famous New York-style pizzas. But of
all the chefs he has observed and worked with, it was
his father whom he admired the most. Anthony
marveled at the sight of the grand meals he prepared
and the lengths he would go through just to ensure
that his guests will enjoy the most amazing dining
experience they can ever have.
4. Anthony’s Pizzeria
• Following the footsteps of his parents,
Anthony opened his first restaurant in 1992 to
a hungry crowd in Clear Lake, Texas. He called
it “Anthony’s Pizzeria” and brought authentic
New York-style pizza to the Texas dining
scene. He had a fairly good idea that a
delicious New York-Style pizza can be
prepared anywhere using bucket-loads of the
finest ingredients, his family’s unparalleled
recipe and a great deal of unrelenting passion.
5. Climbing to Success
• By utilizing his culinary background, Anthony
was able to fuse the elegance of a fine Italian
restaurant and the easiness of a pizzeria,
serving superior quality food in a fast, casual
dining ambience. With his gigantic pizza slices
and calzones served fresh and affordable,
Anthony quickly gained fame and rose to the
summits of the restaurant industry in just a
short span of time.
6. Russo’s Italian Restaurant
• A few years later, Anthony changed the name to
Russo’s Italian Restaurant and expanded his
prosperous New York pizzeria enterprise into a
franchise concept, which paved the way for the
establishment of 25 more locations all over
United States. As his restaurants continue to
grow in number, the now successful restaurateur
still stays deeply grounded to his rich Italian roots
and truly believes that exceptional quality,
freshness and great customer experience can
bring a food enterprise to amazing heights.
